Congratulations to 2018-19 Storke Fellowship Recipients

The Department of MCD Biology is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018-19 Storke Fellowships.

June 26, 2019

The Storke Graduate Fellowships were initiated in 1996 through the generosity of Charles A. Storke II, former associate-editor and publisher of the Santa Barbara News-Press, whose family has a long association with UC Santa Barbara. Part of a much larger commitment to the university, this fellowship fund is intended to help bolster the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology by providing support for its promising doctoral students. Each year, Storke Fellowships of $2,500 are given to two first year MCDB doctoral students in recognition of their outstanding academic and research record. The department is grateful for this support.

The 2018-19 Storke Fellowships are Awarded to Michael Costello and Ryan Lach

Michael recently joined the laboratory of Professor Diego Acosta-Alvear while Ryan has embarked on research in Professor Max Wilson’s laboratory. Congratulations to both of these outstanding PhD students!
