Building Access

Access ID

How to Get an ACCESS Card:

Students

To obtain an Access ID, new Freshmen must follow instructions sent to their U-Mail accounts. (Please do not use the Google form.)

Continuing undergraduates, graduate students, staff, and faculty may request an Access ID or report a problem by using this Google Form. After submitting your form with your UCSB email account, please allow 24 hours for printing before visiting the Access Distribution window. The Access Distribution window is located outside the University Center entrance of the Campus Store. The cost of an Access ID is $30. This fee will be applied to the student's BARC account.

Staff / Faculty / Visitor

Send an email to alczarnecki@ucsb.edu to request an access card. Please include the following details in your email request: first name, last name, employee ID # (for faculty & staff), UCSB net ID (for visitors), a headshot photo of the person needing a card (in JPEG format), personal phone number, and a recharge/account # to be charged (for PIs). The cost of an Access ID is $30. The replacement fee for a lost ID is $30.

Lab Safety Training for Researchers

Anyone who will use a lab must complete the EH&S Safety Training prior to being granted Building/Lab Access.

Always ensure all researchers complete the EH&S Lab Safety Online.
