Dinh Quan Nhan

Biography

I received my bachelor's degree in microbiology from UCSB in 2016 and stay at UCSB for Ph.D. degree in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology.

Research

My research involves using molecular biology and biochemistry to study prokaryotic ribonucleases encoded by CDI system that inhibit cell growth and protein synthesis. My current work involves purifying ribonucleases for in vitro assay along with a co-culture assay to study the toxin delivery mechanism between an inhibitor (CDI+) cell and target (CDI-) cell.
