Stu Feinstein receives 2017 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research
Congratulations to MCDB professor Stu Feinstein, who has been awarded the 2017 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. This award is bestowed annually on one faculty member with a distinctive record of mentoring undergraduate students in their research endeavors. Stu has established a superb career record of advising and mentoring undergraduate students in the research laboratory. Large numbers of students, both majors in the Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) Department and students in the College of Creative Studies (CCS) with emphasis in biology, have trained with Stu. Many of these students subsequently have earned graduate degrees in the very best PhD programs following completion of their undergraduate studies at UCSB, and several have subsequently established distinguished academic careers of their own.
