The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a faculty position at an open rank. A generous Endowed Chair is to be filled at the advanced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank with cross-appointments available in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the Biomolecular Science and Engineering Program, and other departments as appropriate. We seek an outstanding scholar with an internationally recognized research program in any area of molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and/or biochemistry, with particular preference toward candidates who apply cross-disciplinary quantitative experimental or theoretical approaches to solving fundamental problems in biology.
